"Dr Jacquelyn Kotarac, 49, scaled a ladder to the roof, removed the chimney cap and slid down the flue of the property in Bakersfield, California.
The woman, who had an "on-again, off again" relationship with the man, had gone to the house on Wednesday last week, police said.
But the man refused to let her in and escaped unnoticed from the house "to avoid a confrontation", police added.
Dr Kotarac is believed to have been stuck in the chimney for three days."
What the... It amazes me how many adults are willing to try this lately. (We just had a guy in my state do this on the local news a few months ago)

It's more of a matter of what the man thought about her after finding her, and just how long she decided to stay like she was.

Unfortunately the full story in JackO's link says she died from this. It said asphyxiation, so she probably stirred up a lot of soot from grinding the chimney walls on her way down and couldn't breathe.
What a terrible fate.
Faust feels a bit of saddness from this, though he does want to chatsize said person for not knowing how to properly stalk someone.
