So you browse around various galleries and see all sorts of japanese pictures and ask to nobody in particular, "where on earth do these treasures come from?"

Turns out, many of the pics that get posted and re-posted on non-Japanese message boards originate from Pixiv.net, which (I assume) is more or less a Japanese Deviantart, replete with amazingly-drawn artwork as well as bizarre fetish pieces of all kinds. Many of the pics you've seen floating around the web and have always wanted to known the source to come from here, and it's really not that hard to register.

1) Go to pixiv.net
2) Click the bright orange "Sign up for pixiv" button in the upper left-ish, above the sign-in boxes
3) This is where things get tricky: you might want to do a lot of copy-pasting into babelfish.yahoo.com to understand exactly what boxes to fill in. For this first step, you have to enter your email address so that it can send you a link, where you then begin to register. As far as I can recall, registration is carried out more-or-less normally and shouldn't pose many problems.

4) Once you're finished registering, sign in and click on the button on the far right of the thick gray toolbar near the top of the page (the link should be http://www.pixiv.net/edit.php)
5) In the 7th box from the top of the settings menu, click on the left-most radio button for the top option (which reads "年齢制限作品(R-18)" ). You can go ahead and click the left-most radio button for the second option too (グロテスクな作品(R-18G)), which allows you to see what I think is "guro" work, so do it at your own discretion.

5) Now you can use the search bar at the top of the page to search wetting pics to your heart's content. Since the site is in Japanese, the two most relevant terms you would search for are おもらし and お漏らし, which both mean "omorashi" (according to wikipedia).

Hopefully that wasn't too confusing, but for the most part it's pretty straightforward.

Or you can simply use your Nicovideo account if you have one.

Well OK, turns out everybody knew about it except me. I figured it'd be useful for a few other folks in the dark, though, since it took a while for me to catch wind of it and a while longer to use it to look for things.

I've heard of it, but dealing with trying to blindly press buttons until I accidentally made an account seemed like too much of a hassle, so I never did. Perhaps I'll give it a go with the handy guide on top some time...

Translation aggregator software is your friend, man =). And, now that we have a "j-how-to" thread, I'll post a nico registration manual I've snatched from 4chan a while ago.

Thanks!!

Edit: I'm beginning to think this site is (at least partially) in chinese...
Because I don't know a lot of chinese characters but I noticed some in registration and I noticed even more in some of the pics (for example):

Kanji (漢字) are the Chinese characters that are used in the modern Japanese logographic writing system along with hiragana (ひらがな, 平仮名), katakana (カタカナ, 片仮名), Indo Arabic numerals, and the occasional use of the Latin alphabet (also known as Rōmaji). The Japanese term kanji (漢字) literally means "Han characters". And this is the part where learning Japanese becomes a bitc quite tough.

Yes. Kanji is really tough.
I do know all 48 hiragana and 48 katakana, but Kanji...jeeze those are hard to remember.

Same here. However, if you count the strokes in a kanji you might be able to pick it out from a list to see what it is. I'm currently using this in an attempt to translate a doujin.

I got pretty far, there's just a few kanji that look blurry, so i can't really count the strokes.
On the internet you're only as smrt as your spell checker.

Man, Japanese is confusing. >.<
Also, I'm bad at counting strokes in general...

Counting strokes is a bit tough, but once you do it a few times, its easy.

Qasim

It's just as hard when you can just read the Kanji, not the Hira and Kata. Why did I choose to study Chinese instead of Japanese?
Anyway, thanks for the guide and the site, looks like it's got potential...
